Important: The pre-registration for the press will be closed on August 30th (Friday). All press members who register after August 30th cannot attend the opening ceremony and keynote speech on September 2nd.
Pre-Registrees:
If a different journalist/press member covers ICOM Kyoto 2019, please submit a document explaining the circumstances/the reason of changes and re-register at the registration desk. If you do not submit this document, the press member may be denied access to the conference. All press members who need to submit this document are not allowed to attend the opening ceremony and keynote speech on September 2nd.
On-site Registration
- Press can register on-site on September 1st, but please note that there is no press access on this day. Moreover, all on-site press registrees are not able to attend the opening ceremony and keynote speech on September 2nd.
- On September 2nd, we only accept changes or on-site registrations in the afternoon due to the opening ceremony in the morning.
- ICOM Kyoto 2019 Organising Committee reserves the right to deny media registration based on misunderstanding of the requirements at any time during the on-site registration process.

Registered press with appropriate credentials may cover all the programs at ICOM Kyoto free of charge. Please read the press guideline below carefully and send Registration Form to the Secretariat for the ICOM Kyoto 2019. Please complete your Press registration at your earliest convenience, as there are some ICOM programs that will require separate pre-registration thereafter.
Press Guideline
Registration
Please fill in the form and send it to Secretariat for the ICOM KYOTO 2019 (icom2019-reg@congre.co.jp) via email with a photocopy of your valid press card or an appropriate letter of assignment from the commissioning editor. You are required to fill in one registration form per person. ICOM and ICOM KYOTO 2019 Organising Committee will consider your application, and you will receive an email confirming your press registration from the Congress secretariat.
Press Registration Desk
Please show your business card and passport in the press registration desk. In the event that you are not the registered person, please show an official letter from the commissioning editor assigning you to the Conference. Please note that your registration cannot be processed without these documents.
Badges
Due to safety regulations it is mandatory to always visibly wear your name badge during the congress (including the social events). You will not be allowed to enter the exhibition or sessions without your badge.
Press Conference on 7 September
The Press Conference will be held on Saturday, 7 September 16:00-17:00. The results of the vote on the new museum definition and the resolutions will be announced.
